Dunkin’ Donuts is on board with the mobile wallet wave of digital technology and is offering a branded Passbook app. Dunkin’ Donuts will use GPS technology to signify to the user that the Passbook wallet is available at the location. Within the application, users can manage their card amount as well as peruse previous purchases. Users who own Passbook can quickly share their screen with the teller and have it scanned to make the purchase. “To encourage usership once guests have it integrated into their Passbook, it is location aware, meaning that it will conveniently appear on a guest’s lock screen when they are near their favorite Dunkin’ Donuts location, for easy, on-the-go access,” said Dave Tryder, director of interactive marketing at Dunkin’ Donuts.
