The Situation
Moose needed a refreshed merch design that best-represented our creativity and agency values. The only problem? Making merch is inherently wasteful, and we didn’t want to make stuff for the sake of making stuff.
The Challenge
Rethink agency swag––and honestly, swag as a whole––to uphold our mission of making less, using less, wasting less.
The Insight
Whether it’s a T-shirt or tchotchke, most swag is simply trash. Minimum order quantities require you to buy in bulk while novelty items often end up in the landfill. To help minimize waste and bring awareness to excess consumption, we drew inspiration from one of the most-trashed items on the planet: plastic grocery bags.
Our Solution
We worked with local and sustainable vendors to create a limited-run collection of reusable items like tote bags, drinkware, and cutlery. Each item was thoughtfully made from recycled materials, and available by pre-order only. What’s even more beautiful? These goods changed the way we make merch for ourselves and for clients, forever.
